Automation Technology Announces the Opening of New R&D Center
San Jose, CA - 7/9/2001 -
ATI opens new India office to provide global, 24-hour support, and expand R&D initiatives
Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI) announced today they have expanded their global presence with the opening of a research & development center in Hyderabad, India.
With a growing customer base with varying needs, ATI needs to increase R&D initiatives on a global scale. India has proven to be a hotbed of technology development in recent years, especially in the software field. By locating the new center there, ATI will take advantage of the highly trained & motivated local talent to supplement the US based operations.
"We are pleased one of our senior engineers has relocated to India to head up our new R&D facilities," announced Dipak Patel, VP of Engineering at ATI. "This group will focus on utilizing local talent to provide development, QA, and support for all of our products."
By locating the center in India, ATI will also be taking advantage of the time zone difference to enhance its renowned customer support. Mr. Patel commented "We now have the ability to respond even quicker to our customers by having staff in the time zone that is 12 hours different from our San Jose headquarters."
