Hawaiian Electric Co. Selects ATI's AWARE Product For Managing and Documenting their Boiler Tube Failures
SAN JOSE, CA - 11/30/2005 -
Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of Collaborative Asset Management solutions for the energy industries, is pleased to announce that Hawaiian Electric Co. (HECo) has acquired ATI's AWARE product for managing steam generator tube failure information at its 5 power generating facilities on the island of Oahu.
This move was driven by a need to improve documentation and management of knowledge pertaining to the condition of boilers, and easily utilize that knowledge to plan for future outages. This enables HECo the ability to centralize knowledge pertaining to boiler conditions, and enables engineers to analyze failure trends. By doing this, reporting is streamlined and standardized from one central location as well.
