Lower Colorado River Authority Selects ATI’s Aware™ Boiler Module, Aware™ HRSG Module, Visual Aware™, and Aware™ Piping Module for implementation at Lost Pines and Sim Gideon Stations
SAN JOSE, CA - 4/28/2008 -
Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of Equipment Knowledge Retention solutions for the energy industry, is pleased to announce that Lower Colorado River Authority has selected ATI’s Aware™ Boiler Module, Aware™ HRSG Module, and Aware™ Piping Module for use at their Lost Pines and Sim Gideon Stations, comprising (5) coal- and natural gas-fired units.
LCRA will use the Aware™ Boiler Module and Aware™ HRSG Module in conjunction with Visual Aware™ for documenting and mapping tube failures, repairs, and NDE data on custom created, color-coded Autocad drawings of their conventional boilers and HRSG’s. In regards to their fluid piping systems, Visual Aware™ will allow them to tag and identify welds or piping sections that need attention as NDE results are highlighted on drawings, enabling users to quickly identify the scope of work for upcoming outages.
Aware™ Boiler Module with Visual Aware™ has been in place at LCRA’s Fayette Station since July 1998. Fayette purchased and employed Mobile Aware™ in December 2007, and used it with success during their following outage for documenting inspection findings and recommendations.
