TransAlta Selects ATI’s Aware™ Piping Module for implementation at eight stations in Canada and U.S.

SAN JOSE, CA - 6/9/2008 - Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of Equipment Knowledge Retention solutions for the energy industry, is pleased to announce that TransAlta has selected ATI’s Aware™ Piping Module for Keephills, Mississauga, Ottawa, Poplar Creek, Sarnia, Sundance, and Windsor-Essex Stations in Canada; and Centralia Station in Washington, U.S.

Aware™ Piping Module provides TransAlta with the ability to centralize knowledge pertaining to steam line conditions, and enables engineers to analyze trends. Using the visual capabilities of the Aware™ software, welds or piping sections that need attention are highlighted on drawings, enabling users to quickly identify the scope of work for upcoming outages.  Reporting is streamlined and standardized from one central location as well.

TransAlta is a current Aware™ customer, after implementing fleet-wide use of Aware™ Boiler Module and Aware™ HRSG Module in April 2007, followed by implementations of Aware™ for Balance of Plant, Aware for Outage Planning™, and Mobile Aware™.
