Southern Power Selects ATI’s Aware™ HRSG Module for implementation at five Southern Power gas-fired plants.

SAN JOSE, CA - 8/29/2008 - Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of Equipment Knowledge Retention solutions for the energy industry, is pleased to announce that Southern Power has selected ATI’s Aware for HRSG’s Module for their Franklin, Harris, Rowan, Stanton, and Wansley stations, comprising a total of (27) units.  Use of Aware to tracking the condition of HRSGs at the plants is expected to impact the overall reliability of the units, and be a key component of asset knowledge retention.

Over the last two years, Southern Company, the parent company to Southern Power, has employed modules such as Aware Boiler Module, Mobile Aware, and Aware Piping Module for several coal plants throughout their fleet.
