Alabama Power Selects ATI’s Aware™ Boiler Module, Visual Aware™, Mobile Aware™ for W.C. Gorgas Power Station

SAN JOSE, CA - 10/10/2008 - Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of Equipment Knowledge Retention solutions for the energy industry, is pleased to announce that Alabama Power has selected ATI’s Aware™ Boiler Module and Mobile Aware™ for their (5) units at the W.C. Gorgas Power Station.

The decision for Aware came as many Southern Company divisions- from Georgia Power, Alabama Power, Mississippi Power, and Southern Power- have implemented Aware Boiler Module and Mobile Aware over the past year with great success. Aware provides a centralized, user-friendly database in which failures, repairs, and NDE can be visualized and tracked by plant personnel, central inspection teams, and corporate personnel. Southern Company’s central boiler inspection team currently uses Mobile Aware to document inspection findings and recommendations at plants that have Aware implemented. Identifying these items with Mobile Aware fosters a more efficient and collaborative outage experience.
