AES Indianapolis Power and Light Selects ATI’s Aware™ Boiler Module, Visual Aware™, Mobile Aware™ for Petersburg Station
SAN JOSE, CA - 11/10/2008 -
Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of Equipment Knowledge Retention solutions for the energy industry, is pleased to announce that AES IPL has selected ATI’s Aware™ Boiler Module and Mobile Aware™ for their (4) units at the Petersburg Station located in Indiana.
The decision for Aware came as a result of AES IPL Petersburg’s desire for a centralized, user-friendly database in which failures, repairs, and NDE could be visualized and tracked. Alstom, as their OEM, often conducts the boiler inspections, and has been using an Aware™ product to document and store data for their customers for many years. Petersburg saw a benefit in using the same platform as Alstom, as well as using Mobile Aware™, so that identifying inspection findings and recommendations could be more efficient and collaborative.
