PacifiCorp Selects ATI’s Aware Piping Module to Manage FAC Inspections

SAN JOSE, CA - 8/5/2009 - Automation Technology, Inc. (ATI), a supplier of Equipment Knowledge Retention solutions for the energy industry, is pleased to announce that PacifiCorp has selected ATI’s Aware™ Piping Module to manage Flow Accelerated Corrosion (FAC) data for it's Carbon, Dave Johnston, Hunter, Huntington, Jim Bridger, Naughton, Wyodak, and Gadsby plants.

The Aware™ Piping Module provides PacifiCorp with the ability to centralize knowledge pertaining to FAC inspections as well as steam line conditions, and enables engineers to analyze trends. Using the visual capabilities of the Aware™ software, elbows, welds, hangers, or piping sections that need attention are highlighted on drawings, enabling users to quickly identify the scope of work for upcoming outages.  Reporting is streamlined and standardized from one central location as well.

PacifiCorp has been using other Aware™ modules as well, having implementing fleet-wide use of Aware™ Boiler  and Pulverizer Modules.
