Intertek acquires Automation Technology Inc (ATI)

SAN JOSE, CA - 4/5/2012 - Automation Technology, Inc. today announces that it has accepted an acquisition offer from Intertek Group plc (Intertek), the leading international provider of quality services to a wide range of industries.
ATI’s collaborative asset management solution is used by owners and thrid party service providers of fossil power generation infrastructure to record and analyse testing and inspection data. Its solutions help asset owners track infrastructure integrity and support the development of effective maintenance plans to reduce failures and optimise maintenance work during scheduled outage periods.

As one of the most recognised and widely used open collaborative asset integrity management systems in North America’s fossil power generation industry, ATI’s software solution, AWARE™, gives fossil energy infrastructure operators the ability to plan for future maintenance outages through analysis and documentation of failure and assessment information. AWARE™ helps equipment owners manage asset integrity data throughout the assets life cycle through the utilization of various third party service providers to make decisions about maximizing  asset objectives in todays changing fossil power generation market.
